Magic of Life Foundation Honors Volunteers at Recognition Events

The Magic of Life Foundation (MOL) showed its gratitude to the many people who volunteer for the organization throughout the year with two volunteer recognition lunches, held in April.

MOL provides services aimed at improving cancer survivorship and quality of life from the time of diagnosis, throughout treatment, and in the years following completion of cancer care.

“I am personally proud to honor the time and talents each of these volunteers offer to cancer patients each year,” said Dr. Wendy Lenz, Executive Director of MOL. “Their selfless contributions enable the Magic of Life Foundation fulfill its mission.”

The first of the two events, held April 21, 2009 at the Cheesecake Factory at Cumberland Mall, honored volunteers Melinda Frabotta, Bruni Casey, R.E. and Sonja Bradley, Betty Jo and Wayne Owenby, and Sarah Kohn.

The second luncheon, held April 29, 2009 at Natalia’s in Macon, honored volunteers Brenda Hubbard, Emily Kemp, Cile Messer, Linda Padgett, Tommy Walker, Susan Cassel, Christine Dwight, John Alexander, and Priscilla “Prissy” Hargrove-Butler.

Each luncheon was followed by a short presentation on “the magic of volunteering” by Dr. Lenz, and each volunteer in attendance was given a gift of appreciation. Photos were taken after each event, and all had a good time.
