Congratulations to Florence Baldwin, who has been selected to be this year’s Magic of Life artist! Her piece, “Lillies of Hope,” reflects the message of the event––of hope, life, and vitality. Ms. Baldwin’s artwork, which she has graciously donated, will be featured on event invitations, posters, and the 2008 commemorative t-shirts. In the tradition of this celebratory event, Ms. Baldwin will be on-site at the Magic of Life Event to autograph t-shirts.

The Magic of Life Foundation, and the physicians and staff of Georgia Cancer Specialists, invite you to the 18th Annual Magic of Life Foundation Celebration for Cancer Survivors
Come play while the Braves are away!
Join 2,500 cancer survivors and their families for a day of activity and fun at Turner Field!
Sunday, September 28, 2008,
10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Rain or Shine
- Survivors and one guest each receive a FREE pass for lunch, entrance to the park, and access to park activities.
- Visit the Braves museum!
- Test your pitching and batting skills!
- Tour the clubhouse and locker rooms!
- Plus: Live music, a magic show, massage tents, a survivor tree, and a silent auction featuring Braves memorabilia!
- Survivors receive a FREE T-shirt. Additional shirts sold at event.
- Additional guests receive lunch, entrance to the stadium, and stadium activities for $20 per person.

If you are in Athens, Blue Ridge, Macon, or Milledgeville and would like to ride a bus to the event, please contact your GCS office. (Due to rising gas prices, there will be a $15 charge to ride the bus.)
Purpose
The purpose of the Magic of Life Foundation is to educate, inform and support individuals with cancer and those who care for them. The Foundation provides services aimed at improving cancer survivorship and quality of life from the time of diagnosis, throughout treatment, and in the years following completion of cancer care.
The services provided by Magic of Life Foundation include:
- Managing Cancer (for individuals newly diagnosed with cancer, and their caregivers)
- Alive and Thriving (for individuals who have completed cancer treatment, and their caregivers)
- Magic of Life Celebration (annual event for all cancer survivors)
